InStaff a division of BG Staffing, Inc., a publicly traded company of the NYSE, is currently looking for a highly experienced and enthusiastic Selling Branch Manager for a new market, Houston, TX. InStaff will be implementing a large account in the area and is interested in adding to that business with an experience Branch Manager who can bring in additional new business, hire excellent recruiting staff, and lead a team to growth in the Houston market. JOB SUMMARY
The Selling Branch Manager is accountable for operating a single profit center of at least $1 million in annual revenue. This position is responsible for ensuring the growth of the branch through business development, operational, administrative, and service activities through the direct oversight of branch associates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and implement an effective growth strategy to increase sales and maximize profits

  • Develop and implement an effective recruiting strategy to ensure the availability of qualified temporary/full time employees ( inventory ) to meet current and anticipated demand

  • Develop new business and increase revenue of existing accounts through personal outside sales activities in conjunction with the oversight of others in business development roles

  • Maintain communication with established clients to ensure successful ongoing business development and to promote client and associate retention through exemplary customer service

  • Coordinate all aspects of branch operations required to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal laws and guidelines, including but not limited to Worker s Compensation, Unemployment, Human Resources, Legal, WOTC.

  • Oversee the financial management of branch operations including but not limited to operating within a budget, forecasting, monthly P&L review, accounts receivable

  • Implement, monitor and comply with BG Staffing company programs & initiatives

  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all branch activities

  • Participate in local professional, business and civic organizations to network and promote the company brand

  • Source, select, and hire candidates for internal staff positions

  • Develop a branch team with the ability to operate in his/her absence through training and continuous learning according to established company guidelines

  • Identify developmental/career opportunities to ensure staff retention

  • Ensure associates are rewarded for high performance by developing and implementing weekly contests designed to foster a friendly competitive spirit within the branch

  • Counsel associates on behavioral and performance issues, document and take corrective action as necessary

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor s degree strongly preferred; but equivalent work experience is also fully acceptable

EXPERIENCE

  • Five (5) years of related work experience with at least three years in a sales/profit center management capacity with proven history of success increasing revenue and profit

  • Three (3) years successful managerial/leadership experience hiring, training, motivating, and retaining employees

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to analyze profit/loss statements and other related financial data to make sound business decisions

  • Strong leadership, managerial, customer service, organizational and communication skills

  • Demonstrated understanding of the corporate environment

  • Ability and desire to perform business development and external sales activities

  • Adaptability, flexibility and the ability to maintain effectiveness through change

  • Ability to work flexible/extended hours when necessary
