General Job Duties of the Quality Control Worker - Manufacturing:

  • Receive raw materials, parts and components, unloading incoming trucks, and moving materials to their proper storage bins and locations

  • Performs receiving, in process, and final test functions using inspection equipment ranging from micrometers, calipers, and gauges to determine compliance to specifications

  • Perform physical, dimensional and surface inspections including internal auditing, ensuring compliance with customer requirements

  • Record receipts, inspections, and non-conformance data for report, accounting, and record keeping purposes

  • communicates errors or discrepancies in drawing, checklist, procedures, work orders, equipment, ect... that may be recognized within are responsibility

  • Pack and/or crate completed part, assemblies or components for shipment to customers following conventional packaging practices appropriate for the situation

  • Place raw materials and finished goods on hold or NCMR pending investigation

  • Pick up or deliver raw materials, parts, components or finished products to customers or vendors as required

  • Load finished products for shipment onto trucks or delivery vehicles

  • Perform quality control audits

  • Endure work responsibilities are completed daily working overtime, as needed

  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards

Job Requirements of the Quality Control Worker - Manufacturing:

  • Possess a high school diploma or GED

  • One year or more of stable work experience or more in receiving preference

  • Able to work a 12 hour shift

  • Fluency in the English language read and write and speak

  • Possess basic mathematics skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide

  • Previous quality control experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Demonstrates effective oral and written communications.

  • Be able to lift and move up to 50lbs. periodically during shift when necessary

  • Have a strong work ethic with reliability and dependability

  • Pass a 7 year criminal background check and drug screen

  • Must maintain a friendly and customer service oriented approach to co-workers and customers

  • Problem sensitivity required - the ability to sense when something is incorrect or out of place and anticipation ways to facilitate corrections a problem in a timely manner to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to arrange things or actions in certain orders or pattern according to a specific rule sets of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, and Mathematical operations).

  • Near vision - ability to see details at close range ( within a few feet of observer)
