Pay Range: $13/hr

**Training on 1st & 2nd shift then moving to 2nd or 3rd**

General Job Duties:

Accurately picking product and placing into shipping containers for delivery to customer

Create accurate labels for placing on products or shipping boxes

Ensure proper items are packaged and placed in the proper containers

Pack items consistently for work period while remaining on feet most of the shift

Handle items carefully as to avoid damage to product

Consistently perform job functions taking into consideration safety, punctuality and deadlines

General Summary Position is an entry-level position within the manufacturing area

Primarily responsible for performing weigh-up or packaging duties within the production department.

Ensures the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost and meets customer specifications and delivery requirements in accordance with policies and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Obtains the correct documentation for the batch. Ensures the correct ingredients are delivered to the work area. May be required to obtain the correct ingredients for mixing and weigh out the ingredients to meet the recipe specifications.

Sets up and starts any weigh-up or packaging machinery, checking all controls for adherence to operating/safety procedures.

Notifies appropriate personnel of any issues, problems or concerns in a timely manner.

Safely and neatly processes, batch off, screen, cut up, package and/or skid material to correct size/container according to customer specifications.

Accurately supplies/supports Production Operators with appropriate materials/functions to efficiently keep all equipment operational.

Performs all required machine cleaning.

Completes and maintains required paperwork and/or documents.

Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.

Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 18 years of age

Fluency in the English language read and write

Have a strong work ethic with reliability and dependability

Pass a 7 year criminal background check and drug screen

Must enjoy working with others and taking direction when needed

Must maintain a friendly and customer service oriented approach to co-workers and customers
