Pay Range:

$70K- $72K

Job Overview To insure supervision of the maintenance staff as well as the planning and coordination of capital projects, preventative maintenance and machine repair. This position will also administer all parts ordering and entry into MP2 inventory and planning system. that all equipment is maintained in the best possible running condition to insure minimum downtime and costs associated with it.

General Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in the ongoing training and development of department employees.

  • Clearly communicate the events of the shift and ensure a smooth and highly productive handoff between crews.

  • Enforce the Company policies to facilitate employee resolution; fully explain expectations and provide feedback on disciplinary issues.

  • Maintaining time reporting for direct reports and ensure staffing is at optimal levels.

  • Drive safety policies and compliance as a member of corporate safety committee.

  • Provide feedback in process improvement activities within Supply Chain, Sales, and operational areas.

  • Ensure production equipment operates efficiently by supervising and performing equipment maintenance on a daily basis. Also maintain building and grounds.

  • Supervise all daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance inspections; conduct safety compliance inspections and maintain records of the production equipment.

  • Perform and instruct personnel in equipment start-up procedures and machine operation.

  • Purchase service of components used in the repair or preventative maintenance or equipment and facilities.

  • Analyze equipment failures, determine cause(s) and makes necessary adjustments or repairs.

  • Seek new technologies and automation opportunities in lowering the overall cost of manufacturing.

  • Coordinate major downs in order to utilize man hours efficiently.

  • Report machine issues and financial decisions to Plant Operations Manager

  • Manage emergency situations including; weather related, fire, evacuations and industrial accidents

  • Constant standing, walking and use of hands and fingers and frequent talking and hearing; occasional sitting, stooping, kneeling and crouching.

  • Frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and carry up to 70 pounds

  • All other tasks as assigned.

Required Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in supervision preferred.

  • 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing preferred.

  • Paper converting experience preferred.

  • Millwright or Electrical Journeyman desirable.

  • Ability to Lead/motivate by example, exhibiting a can-do, positive attitude.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • High standards of accuracy and professionalism, with good attendance and the ability to work longer hours as needed.

  • Actively support company initiatives through words and actions

Education High school diploma required. Technical degree and/or demonstrated and related equivalent experience required.

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to meet pre-employment requirements which consists of urine and hair follicle drug testing, lift test, and an audiogram test .
