Job Title: 2nd Shift Machine Operator**

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Order#: 35839728

Location: Mundelein, IL 60060

Days/Hours: Mon-Fri 4pm-2am, plus weekend OT

Pay Range: $14.50 per hour

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for operation of from one to ten machines as assigned.

  • Keep machine tracks clear and unjammed using basic hand tools.

  • Keep feed bowls and machine tracks clean and free of debris.

  • Perform testing of torque ranges depending on which machines are running.

  • Adjust torque settings on machines when required; check torque and other required tests on part being produced; document on in process sheets.

  • Perform dimensional specification tests as specified by control plan.

  • Monitor quality of incoming and current running parts, coordinate with Quality Control personnel regarding incoming part problems.

  • Create production tickets including description, job, lot number, part number and place on tub of finished deflected parts; orders new product from material handling to replace finished parts.

  • Log shop orders in computer main frame (EMS) and place production shop orders into finished parts containers; order new parts from Material Handling.

  • Report to leader on progress of deflection machine operator trainees.

  • Report machine problems to department manager, leader or setter.

  • Maintain good general housekeeping of work area and ensure machines are clean and maintained.

  • Adhere to company Quality Policy and follow appropriate procedures as documented in the training agreement.

  • Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High School education or equivalent experience.

  • Must be able to work from verbal and written instructions, blueprints and shop orders.

  • Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and be able to use calipers, thread gauge, torque wrench, basic hand tools.

  • Must be able to use arithmetic and shop math.

  • Must be a self starter with good organizational skills and a high level of reliability.

  • Must be a self motivated team player.
