General Job Duties:

  • Required to perform the job duties at the set Quality Standards are put forth for each job.

  • Required to perform the job duties at the set Production Standards that are put forth for each job

  • Responsible for properly using all Company supplied items and Company equipment.

  • Responsible for following all Company safety procedures and guidelines.

  • The process sheet should be read thoroughly prior to the start of a job.

  • Package the cores according to the process sheet, i.e., open pallets, cages, or egg boxes.

  • Clean the core box vents and blow head surface as required during production to produce quality cores

  • Operator should troubleshoot minor problems as listed on the Troubleshooting Form, i.e., clean vents, identify misalignment.

  • Let the supervisor know of any machine malfunctions, worn parts, or operations that look out of the ordinary and could cause a safety hazard

  • Comply with department procedures regarding housekeeping. Cleaning up at the end of the work shift includes cleaning the machine and the floor area around the machine.

  • Properly close machine down during breaks, at lunch, and at the end of your shift according to departmental procedures.

  • Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.

  • Count finished product to determine if the order is completed.

  • Remove finished/cured products from the corebox.

  • Fill out job tickets accurately with correct core counts and start/finish times. Hand in job ticket to supervisor before leaving at the end of the shift.

  • Operator will be assigned duties in other departments/areas of the company when there is machine downtime or work slows.

Job Requirements:

  • Be a minimum of 18 years of age

  • Be able to work a full-time but flexible schedule

  • Have dependable transportation to and from job site

  • Be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift when necessary

  • Self- Starter. Motivated to get the job done.

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision

  • Enjoy working with others and taking direction when needed

  • Maintain a friendly and customer service oriented approach to co-workers and customers

  • Provide own clothing: jeans, collared shirt with closed-toed sturdy shoes
