Location: G Germantown, WI 53002

Days/Hours: 1st or 2nd shift

Pay Range: $14.00-18.00 BOE

Job Duties:

  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, electrical schematics, manufacturer s instructions, and engineering specifications.

  • Monitor compliance of routine preventative maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.

  • Troubleshoot failures in electrical circuits (fuses, overloads, motor windings, etc.) by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments, and electrical schematics

  • Remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, hand tools, power tools and examining the form, fit and dimensions of parts.

  • Determine changes in dimensional tolerances of parts by inspecting used parts, using rulers, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments.

  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, straight edges, and meters.

  • Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop tools and equipment.

  • Use proper Lock Out/Tag Out Procedures.

  • Assisting Machine Operators with troubleshooting and issues as they arise.

  • Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

  • Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.

  • Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventory and notify management when materials need reordering.

  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks.

  • Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communication actions, irregularities and continued needs.

  • Maintenance of the building and grounds.

  • Sweeping of floors and stairs

  • Organizing and maintaining inventory

Job Requirements:

  • Be a minimum of 18 years of age

  • Be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen

  • Machining experience - Prior experience fabricating parts using drills, mills, and lathes. Mig/Tig welding experience is a plus.
