Job Duties:

  • Verify vendor orders and shipping confirmations

  • Track purchase orders, follow up with vendors to make sure they are expected to ship the parts on time and per the date specified on our POs

  • Receive and enter spare parts orders in ERP

  • Keep projects on time by managing our suppliers to ensure we have the correct parts on or before the project requirement date, maintaining great relationships with our vendors, as well as finding new suppliers that can assist when the company needs a backup

  • Review components for non-conformance and work with vendor and/or engineering to solve issues and update ERP system as required

  • Utilize ERP system to add new components, and CAD system to retrieve information from BOM

  • Receive components in the ERP system, label, and stage in appropriate areas

  • Put together sub-assembly kits for job and maintain non-hardware inventory lists

  • On occasion the candidate will be responsible for driving (their personal vehicle, reimbursed for mileage) to pick up parts at various suppliers in the southeast Wisconsin area

  • Return any items that may have been received in error or defective items back to our vendors

  • Ensure that parts received are correct and meet the design criteria

  • Must be able to build and maintain healthy relationships with current and new vendors

  • Negotiate pricing with vendors

Job Requirements:

  • One to three years related service and/or parts job experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience in ERP or other MRP business system computer management software and inventory control interface for use in performance of key job functions preferred.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook.
